new experiences
I have been going through a rough couple of days, not something I really wanted to go through with my move coming so soon...
I am facing the loss of a loved one, my nana and I'm not dealing with it particularily well. Last night my mom, nana and I went out for dinner, and as I was saying goodbye, I couldn't help but thinking over and over again, will this be the last time I see her?
Nothing has been properly diagnosed, she goes to see an oncologist on monday, but the doctors are fairly sure its cancer, and they are fairly sure it is very advanced.
I have never dealt with this, and I feel guilty for moving, which is SO not what my nana of 5 years ago, before she started to go downhill with alsheimers, would want. So I'm putting on my brave face, and I'm planning on going over on the weekend with some timmys for a game of cards. Cause, really, what do grandparents want more than a visit from grandkids?? I only wish there was some way I could light a fire under the asses of my cousins and make them go visit before its too late.....

I'm sorry to hear that... my grandma is not doing well at all for the last couple of years and each time I talk to her on the phone she talks about dying and not seeing me before that. It's very sad... but I see how important it is for us to call because even though we're on the other side of the ocean we can still talk to her and make her day. So you can still call your nana regularly and make her feel better.

So sorry to hear about your Grandma Claire. It's great for you to see her whenever you have the chance to and keep in touch once you move. But while I know the feeling, you should never feel guilty for moving on with your life because Grandparents always want what's best for us.
